2011 CROP Walk October 16th

2011 CROP Walk October 16th

First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville

Every day, almost 16,000 children die from hunger-related causes – one child every 5 seconds.  About one-sixth of the world’s people lack access to safe drinking water.  Two million children die each year from infections spread by dirty water and lack of access to decent sanitation.

Do statistics like these inspire you to do something for the children of the world?  Then join the annual Phoenixville CROP Hunger Walk!  The 2011 Walk is Sunday, October 16 starting at 1:45 p.m. (registration begins at 1:15 p.m.) at First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville.  25% of what is raised stays in the Phoenixville community – shared by St. Mary’s Franciscan Shelter and Phoenixville Area Community Services (PACS).  Church World Service uses the rest of the funds around the world.  Please walk and/or sponsor walkers.  Everyone is needed to help end hunger one step at a time.

Please see Barb Coffman (610-792-0544) to get a CROP Walk form.

Be sure to support our youth.  They’ll be walking and looking for sponsors!
