2016 End of Year Report from Patchwork

The totals for this year are:
227 Quilts
5 Walker bags
2 bibs
2 head caps
4 stuffed toys

Patchwork group has completed another year. We will not be working on Wednesdays for the summer months, but will be working from home to prepare for September. The group has been very busy this year and has welcomed a few new members. Patti Algeo has joined the group as a designer. Nancy Mauk has been an addition by learning to knot tie and has been sewing tops together and also completing the finishing edges. Joanne Kollar (a friend of Pat’s) has given us many hours by designing quilt tops to be sewn by the group.
The group has consisted mainly of Helen Detwiler, Pat Moyer, and Esther Siegle prior to Patti Algeo, Nancy Mauk & Joanne Kollar. We also have the expert help of Barbara McNally. She has been able to help out by providing material and also sewing quilt tops and finishing work. Ruth Hopkins worked with the group for many months until she had to stop participating due to illness. Peg Smith also has been instrumental in the activities of the group until she also needed to stop. We miss both of them.
We are always looking for more members. Any time you can give is appreciated. But in addition, we would appreciate any cotton fabric and Redner’s save-a-tape slips.
