April Youth Update

The combination of daylight savings and both the Jr. High and Sr. High lock-ins in the past month has left both the youth and their leaders with a little less sleep this month, but we can all say that it was worth it!

Eight Jr. High youth headed out to their lock-in at Lebanon Valley College earlier this month, and had a great time, though they were certainly tired out for the rest of the weekend! Eight of the Sr. High youth attended an All-Nighter at Skippack Church of the Brethren a little later in the month and had an awesome time catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones. We made sure not to call it a Lock-in, since one of the activities was leaving the church to go Midnight Bowling! We also spent the night fighting off sleep by playing card games, ping-pong, and volleyball!

Both groups are excited about our annual Easter Egg Hunt, this year on April 7th, which is entirely prepared by our youth! While the egg hunt itself is enjoyed by the younger children in the church and community, the youth have just as much fun preparing for it by dying and hiding the eggs, putting together baskets for the children, and competing in our annual egg drop contest! We also look forward to our annual Community Yard Sale Fundraiser, which is our biggest fundraiser of the year! This year, the Yard Sale will be on June 2nd, and we are so excited to see everyone come out for this awesome event!
