us for worship on Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of Jesus at our 7:00 p.m. candlelight service. This will be a special time of Christmas carols, scripture, prayer, and music led by our Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir. For safety reasons, battery operated candles will replace the traditional flamed candles for the singing of “Silent Night.”

The Witness Commission would like to invite you to attend the Peace Weekend on September 14th and 15th.
On Saturday, September 14th there will be two workshops with a pot luck dinner in between. The first workshop, from 4:30 until 6 p.m., will focus on the history of peacemaking in the Brethren Church. After a good meal the second workshop will be from 7 until 8:30 p.m. The focus of the second workshop will be bringing peacemaking into our own community.
Both workshops will be led by Rick Polhamus. Rick is a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren in Pleasant Hill, Ohio. He is one of On Earth Peace’s key retreat and training leaders and a great story teller, he has lead workshops for youth and adults at retreats, at college campuses and in congregations.
On Sunday, September 15th, Rick will continue to lead our Peace Weekend by speaking at both worship services and leading a Sunday school class open to all ages.
Make sure to mark these dates on your calendar.

This Easter we had a special performance from a Quartet. It wasn’t quite the same Quartet as sung last Christmas, but it was just as good!
