The Program and Arrangements Committee of the District Conference of the Atlantic Northeast District is sponsoring three area meetings in September for the members and congregations of the Atlantic Northeast District Church of the Brethren. Delegates and all interested persons are invited to participate in one of the area meetings.
These meetings, one in each of the three areas of the District, are important in preparing for the 2011 District Conference. The purpose of these area meetings is threefold:
- To pray together
- To review and discuss the proposed updates to the By-Laws of the District
- To review and discuss the query on Military Chaplaincy from the Parker Ford COB
Your attendance at one of these meetings is important. It will give you an opportunity to pray for the district with your brothers and sisters in Christ and look carefully at the two items of business mentioned above. Please read about these two items of business in your conference book, which will be mailed in August. Delegates, please bring your book to the meeting.
Please attend one of the following meetings and invite other members of your congregation to attend with you.
September 13 – Lancaster – 7:00 p.m. Room 162/163
September 19 – Hershey Spring Creek – 7:00 p.m. Chapel
September 21 – Parker Ford – 7:00 p.m. Auditorium
The meetings will conclude by 9:00 p.m. or before.
