There are currently 10 active members of the Deacon body to serve and support the needs of our congregation. We are in a similar position as the disciples to whom Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” – Matthew 9:37-38
As we strive to perform the functions of our ministry to the best of our abilities, we wish to provide opportunities for others to share their spiritual and personal gifts. Perhaps you do not want to become a deacon, but would like to provide support in some way. We would like to develop and maintain a ministry made up of caring individuals who will encourage and support the needs of several families.
What will this group do? Provide monthly contact to those people via cards, calls, visits, e-mail; acknowledge and celebrate special events in the lives of those members; and offer general support in their faith journey. Will you be a laborer of His harvest?
