WHEN: November 8, 2014
WHERE: Ephrata Church of the Brethren – 201 Crescent Avenue, Ephrata, PA 17522
TIME: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE: Over the past few years, the Nurture Commission of the Atlantic Northeast District has worked to understand the needs of congregations, especially learning about the need for renewed passion and energy in Christian Education and Discipleship ministries. This conference is a great opportunity to gather to have our energy and focus renewed.
Beginning with our keynote speaker, Dr. Steve Musser, we expect this to be a rich time of development and vision finding. He will be sharing with us twice during the day: once on “Focus Drift” within the church and second on “Loving the Unlovely.” Dean Sensenig and the Ephrata Church of the Brethren’s Worship team will lead us in praise and worship. In the mid part of the day, insight sessions on everything from children’s ministry to church direction will be offered creating forums for local church leaders to share on specific ministry topics.
SEMINAR LEADER: Dr. Musser is an author, pastoral leader, and passionate communicator focused on empowering those who serve in local church ministry.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All are welcome to come share in this day, but please especially consider inviting those who serve in volunteer ministries or as leaders in the church. Pastors, moderators, Sunday school teachers, worship leaders, children’s ministry leaders and deacons will find this to be a day of spiritual rejuvenation. Our prayer is to bless those who serve our district’s local churches with a sense of expectancy and hope as we serve together.
COST: $15 which includes lunch. 0.35 CEU credits are available for an additional $10.00 fee.
