What’s in Your Library?

Have you ever found yourself wishing for some extra biblical resources? Maybe you teach a Sunday school class or Bible study and are looking for some new material. Or maybe you are one of our worship leaders and are starting to run out of sources at home for offertory statements or calls to worship. Or maybe you’ve been curious. Maybe you have questions about God, Christianity, or the history of the Church of the Brethren, and aren’t sure where to go for answers. Or maybe you’ve just been looking for a good book.
Well, I have good news for you! We have a wonderful collection of Christian books and DVDs right here at Green Tree! Our church library has been very well kept up by our librarian, Barb Coffman, and inside of it there are books on almost every subject you can think of! I have noticed that, according to our sign out sheet, the resources in our library don’t get used very often. Because of that, I thought it might be a good idea to let the congregation know exactly what is available in our library. So, every month, I’ll write a short review in the Greeter about one or two items that are currently available in the library that I have read and enjoyed, in hopes that some others in the congregation will be able to share in the pleasure and insights that I have gained by reading and utilizing these books.
In the meantime, I recommend that you check out the library sometime and see the vast collection of Christian literature we have.
