This March is bringing a lot of spring fun for both the Jr. High and Sr. High youth groups! The Sr. High youth started out the month with an All Nighter hosted by Ephrata Church of the Brethren. Four of our youth spent the night with no sleep, but it was worth it for a night of bowling, dodge ball, and a movie with our friends from the other Brethren churches in the Atlantic Northeast District.
All of our youth are extremely grateful to our congregation for their support in our most recent fundraisers. Our Corbi’s fundraiser was a huge success. If you are still interested in some Corbi’s products, there is a way to purchase orders online and have the money go to our youth. Please see the article in this month’s Greeter article for that information. We would also like to thank everyone who came out to the luncheon that the youth hosted preceding the March Council Meeting.
The Jr. High youth are looking forward to spending Easter weekend preparing for and hosting our church’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. Their work includes dying eggs, making baskets, making candy eggs, and hiding the eggs!
The Sr. High youth are looking forward to two big events in the month of April. On April 20th, we will be traveling to Parker Ford Church of the Brethren to lend a hand in the Sr. High service project. We will be spending the day working with the True to Life Ministries and a local Salvation Army. The Sr. High youth are also working hard preparing for our annual Sr. High Sunday on April 28th. We enjoy sharing our skills and talents in this special service, and we greatly appreciate the church’s support!
